Spice Grinder

Spices once ground begin to lose their aroma, so shop bought ground spices that have been ground for weeks or even months have lost most of their fragrant properties. For spices that have so much more flavour toast and grind whole spices yourself. Place whole spices in a dry frying pan set over a medium heat, lightly roast them until they smell fragrant and toasted, being careful not to burn them. I use a Bodum Bistro coffee grinder, I find it extremely effective at grinding all spices even cinnamon sticks. I highly recommend investing in one, you won't regret it. Click link to buy.

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer

A Kitchen Aid stand mixer is an expensive piece of equipment, although I would say that you should look at it as an investment. I have had mine for over 25 years and it is still going strong. I use it for everything: whipping cream, making mixtures for cakes, kneading doughs and making mayonnaise and much more.
I have multiple attachments including a mincer attachment, pasta attachment, sausage stuffer and many more. I use my mixer at least 3-4 times a week and would thoroughly recommend one to anyone who loves to cook. Click link to buy.

Manual Pasta Maker

A Marcato Atlas pasta machine is a great piece of equipment to have to get started making your own pasta. It will make rolling and cutting your homemade fresh pasta really easy. Pasta making is a great thing to do with kids, they will love helping to turn the handle and watch the fettuccine or tagliolini coming out ready to cook. You can splash out on to other pasta makers if you enjoy making your own pasta, which I am sure you will as no shop bought pasta tastes like your own homemade. I had my manual pasta machine for over 20 years and my kids loved it. I still have it but have since splashed out on a pasta attachment for my Kitchen aid mixer, see below. Kitchen Aid Pasta Attachment

If you have a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and love to make and eat pasta, then, I highly recommend investing in a Kitchen Aid pasta attachment, they are quite expensive but make the pasta making process so much easier. The stand mixer takes all the hard work out of the process, instead of turning the handle, the mixer does this for you meaning that it is much quicker to make homemade pasta, it is quite easy to roll & cut a batch of dough in around 10 minutes. Hand Held Citrus Juicers/Squeezers

These hand held citrus juicers/squeezers, are great, they extract the juice from your chosen citrus fruit, easily and very efficiently. They come in three different sizes, Orange, Lemon & Lime, once you buy one, you will very soon want all three.
